Photography Storytelling Exercise
Well this was fun. Recently I have been to Italy to relax and to spend some quality time with my family. I haven’t been photographing a lot because like I said the purpose of this vacation was family time. But being a passionate photographer I had to make some shots (obviously). So I left for an hour and went to the beach. It was about to rain and almost nobody was there so I could “work” there comfortably.
Couple day back while I was going through & editing my photos from my vacation I put these two images next to each other and immediately started to see several possible stories these two photos could tell. It is a great photo-storytelling exercise – choosing 2 or more random photos from one location and thinking of stories they could be associated with. After making up my own stories I like to ask my friends to get their point of view. I find it helpful for every photographer. It is a great exercise for getting better at telling stories with a couple of shots.
What story do you see? Please share your vision in the comments with us.
Thank you.
Michal
P.S. After telling us what do you see, feel free to share a link to your two or more photos (max. 5) and I will tell you what story I can see in your pictures.
